Privacy

The app collects nothing. The website, almost nothing.

This page is short because there is little to say. It exists because the contact form and the web server touch personal data, and German and EU law (GDPR Art. 13) require telling you how.

In the Mac appNo account, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports sent anywhere. Your boards stay on your Mac.

On this websiteNo cookies, no ad tracking. A privacy-friendly visit counter (GoatCounter) and short-lived server logs, nothing else.

When you write to meYour name, email and message are used to answer you, and for nothing else.

2. The Boardify Mac app

Boardify stores your boards, images and files locally in ~/Library/Application Support/com.boardify.app. The app does not create an account, does not connect to a Boardify server and does not send usage data. When you paste a link, the app fetches that page once to build a preview; that request goes to the linked site, not to me.

3. Buying the app

Payment is handled by Polar (Polar Software Inc., USA), which acts as merchant of record: it processes your payment details, issues the invoice and handles VAT under its own privacy policy. I receive what is needed to deliver the purchase and keep my own records (name, email, country, product bought), and keep it as long as tax law requires.

4. Server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel (Vercel Inc., Covina, California, USA). Vercel records IP address, time, requested page and browser type in access logs for security and error analysis (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; see Vercel's privacy policy. Logs are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

5. Contact form and email

If you use the contact form or email me, I process your name, email address and message to reply (Art. 6 (1) b and f GDPR). Contact form messages are delivered to my inbox through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA); see Resend's privacy policy. Messages are kept as long as the conversation is open, then deleted.

6. Cookies, analytics, fonts

No cookies, no advertising. Page views are counted with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service: for each visit it records the page, the referring site, browser and screen size, and the country, and derives a short-lived session identifier from the IP address without storing the address itself (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR; see GoatCounter's privacy policy). It sets no cookies and cannot identify you. Fonts and icons are part of this website and are served from the same server as the pages.

7. Your rights

You can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Write to mzogot@googlemail.com.
